Hull’s secret paddling loop

Décharge du Lac Leamy (discharge channel)

Description

I recommend launching from one of the parking lots at Lac Leamy, taking the canal linking it to the Gatineau River, following it all the way to the Ottawa River, paddling upstream to this discharge channel, and paddling this very calm discharge channel where you will pass a secret shipwreck and which will take you all but 20 metres short of the way back to Lac Leamy. Portaging these 20 metres is much easier than paddling all the way back, especially in the spring where paddling the Gatineau river upstream can be a pain (on a paddleboard, that is).
