howsham bridge to stamford bridge

river derwent

Description

Can park at either side of the road by the bridge, you will find a public access gate at either side that both lead down to ramps into the water, the water under the bridge was really shallow so we opted to go down the rhs and you will find 2/3 places within a short walk to launch to suit everyone who launch/get seated in different ways, amazing paddle down towards Stamford bridge, we did a full day at it including going down the hydro chute at the power station, a really natural untouched river with many fallen obstacles to navigate, some great wildlife to be spotted aswell, deep water for the majority of the river
