Description
Location: Land Between the Lakes, Lyon County, Kentucky, Road 110 GPS: N 36 56’ 37.1” W 88 10’ 26.4” Directions to Access Point: From I-24, travel south on Kentucky 453, which becomes the Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway; turn west onto Road 110. Amenities: Developed Campground – Defined campsites, fire rings and/or grills, RV hookups, flush restrooms, shower buildings, courtesy dock, outpost store and potable water. Nightly camping fees apply. Reservations available. Parking: 20 paved spaces Restrictions: Must camp to unload. Access Closed December - February Safety: Wear your life jacket. Know your skills and limits. Wind and weather can create dangerous conditions. Let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return. Plan to “Pack it in; pack it out!” South from Hillman Ferry Campground South 1.3 miles south by the water trail to Pisgah Point Camping Area access point. Safety: Be aware of the wind and weather forecast. Time Allotment: 45 minutes Trail Description: The trail leads you northeast to the head of the bay and then back to the south to the Pisgah Point Camping Area access point. Wildlife Viewing: Cultural Features: Natural Features: Fishing Information: North from Hillman Ferry Campground South 3.4 miles north by the water trail to Hillman Ferry Campground North. Safety: Be aware of the wind and weather forecast. Time Allotment: 1 hour, 45 minutes Trail Description: This trail begins by heading southwest out of the bay, then turns north along the shoreline of the Hillman Ferry Recreation Area and then into the Hillman Ferry Campground North access point.
