Description
Great kayak launch facility at this TINY (4 parking spaces wide) park. Check the map at the entrance for the path to get out to the bay, or just have fun exploring the canal before entering the bay. There are nearby islands to paddle to and lots of wildlife to see. We made several trips from this launch in the last week and the setup is perfect except there are NO BATHROOM FACILITIES. There are nearby businesses (Royal Farms had very gross porta-pots in the parking lot...seriously the worst I've seen in my life.) Overall a great kayak dedicated launch spot- easy in and easy out. Also good spot for SUP. Just FYI, launch area was pretty buggy, and lots of mud on entry ramp-slippery! A ton of jellies in the water of all sizes but they looked like the harmless kind.
