Bethel Park is conveniently located among Hampton, Newport News & York County. When you google it, the directions come up for Saunders Road. These directions are incorrect. The entrance is on Big Bethel Road.
The cement boat ramp is located behind the office building. There is a decent size parking lot & porto-potty. It is open from sunrise to sunset.
This is an approximately 4.5-5.5 mile paddle depending on the reservoir's water level. You will see turtles & waterfowl (eagles, egrets & a variety of herons). There are lots of shady areas if you need to get out of the sun. This is a pretty paddle during the fall.
