Batsto Lake

Pleasant Mills, US

Description

10/2023 Batsto Lake has lots of reeds, but the channel can be found by paying attention to the clear areas and the currents. The river entering the lake at the north end is on the right side, kinda behind some pines.

It was an interesting trip up the Batsto, with numerous bends and twists. The fallen trees have been cut to allow safe passage. There are signs for the downstream paddlers, giving the distance from Godfrey Bridge (I think) to the landing on Batsto Lake.

My fondest memory of the trip is the quiet solitude the river offers!
