Although the entrance says private and no access to unauthorised vehicles you are allowed to come and launch here.
Ken is the land owner and runs a small farm shop which has a small selection of food/choc/icecreams. Gates close at 5pm Friday to Sundays.
Expect a steady 2.5 mile down river (left) paddle to a lock with slow moving waters, lots of wildlife and chirping birds. Head back to complete a 5 mile lock to lock and finish with an ice cream.
Parking available for about 30 to 50 cars. £3 to park all day and easy launch spots.
