"Lawrence's 8th Street (Oak Street) Access Ramp is at river mile 51 on the north bank.
The next public access ramp is located 4 miles downstream and requires a 1/3 mile paddle upstream on Mud Creek to access ramp. The entrance to Mud Creek is at river mile 47.3 on river left. You must also take the channel on the north side of the island to get to Mud Creek. The parking lot for the Mud Creek Access is also locked - a key can be obtained through Lawrence Parks and Recreation for a $10 deposit. You may also take out 10 miles down stream at the Eudora Access ramp that is 1/3 mile up the Wakarusa River."
