I eyed this kayak several years making the purchase. My only regret is that I did not buy is sooner. For it's size is is very responsive in the whitewater. I had it out on flat water over the weekend it performed well. The drop skeg really helps with tracking especially when paddling into a head wind. I will be spending a month in The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, it's mostly canoe county there, however now I am not the fence about weather or not to take the Katana along for the trip. I was not anticipating it to track as well as it did on flat water. It's a nice dilemma to have. Great boat! Happy paddling!
