Great rudder system, sourcing spare parts can be an issue? However I'm seeking advice on converting the 2 pedals to a 'proper' footplate, one that can provide leg drive & an efficient paddle stroke. Issue is that these pedals are too small, too far apart & mounted at a incorrect angle? Hopefully some constructive comments may help develop a better system? My STELLAR Si18 is great but the Smart-Track foot pedals are a let-down.....

My 2nd sea kayak, paddled mainly in protected waterways...…. roomy and capable expedition kayak, overnighting with plenty of gear in the large volume hatches. Only have two criticisms 1) cockpit could be a touch longer (being a 6'-0" paddler with long legs) and 2) would prefer a proper footplate rather than the 2 small wide spaced 'Smart-Track' pedals. Otherwise a great looking kayak, on-yeah!
