I have used this canoe for better than 12 years and am completely satisfied. The first time I took it out was on Lake George in New York. A strong wind came up and the lake generated some whitecaps that approached 2 feet. The Adirondack sliced through them like they weren't even there. Even took a few nearly broadside and it just floated through them. It's a 16 foot, 2 person canoe that's extremely stable and tracks nicely. It's OK for one person, but handles and performs much better with 2. I have no regrets whatsoever. I use it primarily for fishing on larger lakes.

Plug the scupper holes and you won't get wet. Put a skeg on it and it'll track like an arrow. A set of home made outriggers will make it stable enough to stand up and fish.
