I have a 2009 Trident Prowler 15 that I have fished out of for 10 years now. Because I am retired I spend a lot of time on the water and about 90% of that time is in the Prowler 15. Back in 2009 when I purchased it, it was state of the art for a fishing kayak and it still preforms today, 2019, as well as it did the day I purchased it. In the past 10 years the finish has somewhat faded and I have had to replace some of the shock cords on the unit; other than that it is good. I added a clothesline anchor system that has preformed very well. I also attached a Scotty ball mount system to the center hatch cover for my Lawrence 125 locator and that has worked out well. The Ocean kayak Prowler 15 is an excellent fishing platform that has a lot of storage space for longer trips, is very stable and tracks and glides well through the water.. The only reason that I give it a four star rating is because of the very poor seat that it comes with. Within the first month that I had it I purchased a quality seat from Sea to Summit and am still using it today, 10 years later..By purchasing the quality seat it allowowed me to spend several hours on the water with very little discomfort. Overall, the new redesigned Ocean Kayak Trident Angler has addressed this issue and looks to be a great boat. However, I will keep using my Prowler 15 for a few more years because it is still serving me very well..

I have had a Ocean Kayak Trident Prowler 15 for about 8 years now. I use this boat at least 2-3 times per week for fishing up here in Minnesota. Overall I love this boat as it is, however the 2018 model with the hatch in the back, the mounting channels and the new seat are really great improvements. The seat that came with mine was very uncomfortable and once I replaced it with an aftermarket seat I am able to be in the boat for long periods of time. The boat has scuffed up on the rear keel from loading and unloading it from my trailer, but that can be expected after 8 years of use. Overall, my 8 year old boat is still a better performer than most of the newer boats on the market today, especially those in the 12 foot length. I highly recommend the longer length because of the better tracking and stability in rougher water.
