Great affordable kayak with some noticeable design flaws.
Weight: around 50 lbs. easy enough to lift over your head onto an SUV kayak roof rack. Stability: very stable, have been in some choppy water, don't recommend it for that purpose but handled well. Tracking: for the short length it tracks fairly well, not the fastest, but relatively straight. Not the best in current, flat water handles very well. Against current, you may have to fight to keep straight.
Comfort: I'm 6 ft 220 lbs, I'm pretty comfortable in it, even with the lack of cushioning on the butt, it's not terrible Design: main gripes I have with the kayak are the lack of foresight in the design. The scupper holes are placed in the seat and the footrest area. The seat scupper holes will ensure you to have a wet butt due to them being lower than the height of water. If you are lighter, you might have a dryer experience, until you start to gain speed and all the water rushes into that scupper hole leading to a wet butt. You can plug them but then it defeats the purpose of having scupper holes. There is also a lack of scupper holes in the front and back storage areas which means during choppy rides, they will get swamped and anything you have in there will be sitting in a puddle of water. I added my own foam cover for the front hatch to prevent the swamping. The rear hatch is a nice feature, but too small for any real storage. I've added a cat bag inside to prevent my stuff from rolling around in the kayak, ok for keys and wallet, but not much use for anything else. Overall I like the kayak, very affordable, gets me on the water, and lots of stuff you can do to mod the kayak to make it your own. Anchor trolley, paddle holders, more hatches, I've tried adding a raised seat which seems to help with the wet butt, but ultimately makes the kayak feel more tippy. I'd rather have a wet butt than a flipped kayak. For the price I paid, 220 at Dicks during their kayak sale, I don't think you can get much better for a decent kayak you can fish from.
