The Coosa is a fantastic introductory fishing kayak with the right features to get you out on the water, started, and hooked. If you look at the newer models, like the HD or FD, you can see some minor improvements made to the Coosa, but there is nothing glaring our left out of the original Coosa that should stop you from buying it as your first fishing yak. Relative to its peers, the slightly narrower width (32'') means that this is a great yak to stand on if you're of small-to-medium build. Ample storage room for rods, paddles, life jackets, tackleboxes, and all the other gear you'd need. These kayaks are very and simply customizable, too, so you can accessorize it to meet your needs as you get deeper into the sport. I can highly recommend it as a great first step into kayak fishing.
