This kayak was purchased by my family as a gift. It is a tandem sit on top kayak. It is a fun kayak to cruise around lakes, ponds and reservoirs. It is very stable and great for beginners. My biggest complaint about this kayak is it's weight, which makes it difficult to move by one person. On the water it tracks good, definitely not built for speed. I have taken it out solo and have enjoyed solo paddling in it. Solo I've paddled from all 3 positions available and it does good. It has two storage areas, but actually they are open to the entire hull. I'd recommend this kayak for beginners who want a budget friendly sit on top tandem kayak
