We bought our royalex tripper in 1995. Took the kids out on the James river here in Virginia and always felt safe. Been all over the state with lots of cargo and never any problem. Still have it and it's almost like new. Scuffs and stuff reminds me of the trips we have taken. I did install the rub strips on front and back. Best thing I did for it. Thanks to the Appomattox river canoe company in Farmville Virginia for steering us into a big heavy safe canoe for my family. Thanks
