I have had the boat since 2014. I have used it for flat and moving water, with and without wind, both kneeling with a high seat and now, sitting in the low seat. Its a beautiful boat and the handling matches the looks. It tracks very well, but a slight lean makes turning easy. It handles well light or loaded with gear. Mine is 32 pounds, so easy enough to carry and load. The wood trim is very well done. I keep 4 pieces of split clear plastic hose on my gunwales to protect the rails when the boat is on a roof rack or trailer. If you weigh more than 175, consider the Peregrine, Kestrel's big sister.
