I rented a Delphin for a week. I want to upgrade from my old WS Pungo 14 which I have been using frequently on sea kayaking trips around Nova Scotia of late. The Delphin tracked poorly unless the skeg was deployed; then the skeg could not be lifted without beaching first. The foot pegs were very hard to lock in place and I worried I would break the flimsy "twist rod". They could not be adjusted without beaching the boat. The hatch covers were very hard to put on and usually required a knee or a foot.
The boat was fun to paddle in waves but the negatives are the deal breakers for me. It is no faster than my old Pungo, doesn't track as well, and has very inferior "moving parts". I will keep looking...
