So far this is a great rack. Goes on easily. Comes off easily. The construction is quite impressive for being aluminum.
That being said, it's light and one person can install, but two would be handy. Traveled approximately 200+ miles with it the first time with 2 canoes on it. Lots of bumpy back roads and highways but it never loosened up. The height and width adjustments are great. And the horizontal extension bars which help carrying more than one canoe also help in loading and unloading canoes if you are alone.
All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase.
