I was looking for a more secure and more versatile mounting system for my GoPro on my SINK. Settled on Railblaza, but had not actually seen or handled one live. Well, I am very impressed with their system and the accessories I have purchased.

At first I was nervous drilling a hole in my poly boat, but it was really a no-brainer and they supply all the hardware for various mounting setups, as well as excellent instructional videos.

These mounts, and the camera pole 150 three piece setup, are extremely versatile. They are so secure as to defy any loss, as long as you lock them in place. Best of all, movement on many axis is accomplished simply by using your hands to push the camera, pole, etc. into position. And that makes them easily change-able as well. They're sturdy, light, seawater resistant and attractive. And they are not the most expensive system out there of this kind either.

I found the Railblaza line more extensive for my purposes than that of other manufacturers.
This stuff is for keeps!

GoPro makes some incredibly good devices for their intended use: capturing the thrill of sports activities. They are not really a substitute for a good still camera or for your home videos, as some of the design features simply don't work that way. But for virtually any sport, from fly fishing to kayaking to sky diving, they're fabulous.

Some of their software is glitchy. Occasionally their wifi back has a bit of trouble connecting. Some batteries may wear out. But for every "problem" there is a workaround and/or an accessory. And for virtually any way you want to video there is a mount. It's really versatile, takes great wide angle HD videos.

I have the original HD 1080 version. The Hero 2 I've seen does much better and has a bit more functionality, but fits all the same after-market stuff. The 3 is different and better.

If you're in the market for any kind of sports video, you owe it to yourself to evaluate a GoPro. What it captures for me (and for my non-sporting viewers) isn't just the "look" or "view" from your position; it actually captures the feeling of being there. Seriously worth it!

I'm newer to kayaking and bought the Glide to start out on flat canal water and move up as I learn. This is a fun, well-designed and inexpensive boat in its class. I have zero complaints.

It's really a fully equipped rec kayak ready to use out of the box. You blow up the float bag (wish they had included one for the bow too, but that's cheap enough from them at $25), adjust your foot pads and launch. It's a stable boat, launching and paddling, and it handles well for its size and shape. We get plenty of wind where I live (SF Bay), and the boat isn't bad in the wind at all; otherwise it tracks very well. It's fast enough and it's a tough build. The seating and footpad systems are very good for starters; there's room to customize if you want.

I do recommend this to friends, and commend Emotion Kayaks for their good design at a very attractive price.
