I purchased my kayak in 2014 and I'm in love with fishing all over again. This kayak tracks well, has plenty of storage space, and is very well made as I was told by someone who used to own a kayak outfitting store(at the time I had nothing to compare it to). The price point is pretty good too. I purchased it from Dunhams on sale for $479. It fits well just thrown in the bed of my short bed Silverado with little overhang. It is a very stable kayak at 30 inches wide and I can stand in it pretty easily too. I was leaning way back and popped the plastic that attached the back strap of the seat the 2nd time I used it but I was planning to replace the seat anyway. It doesn't have any padding and spending all day in it was uncomfortable. I weigh 120 lbs and picking this 60+ # kayak up to store in the J-hooks on my garage wall is kinda tough by myself. I have trouble getting the front hatch opened at times because I tend to have a heavy hand when I screw it closed. I keep my phone, keys, and chapstick there so it is very handy to have it so convenient and watertight though. All in all I think it was a smart purchase for a beginner fisherman and at the time of this review I have purchased a 2nd Future Beach 10.4 Journey sit in for spring and fall fishing.
