The Mad River Canoe Adventure 14 has surpassed all my expectations. I have had this canoe for a little over a year now. I've used it in lakes and rivers across the country. The composite material does make it a heavier canoe but I expected that and appreciate the sturdiness and stability. It is roomy enough for two people plus gear comfortably. Three people fit but you do ride low in the water. The boat steers straight and turns quickly.
My only tiny complaint is the cup and rod holders do not have holes in the bottom so they will hold water in the rain. A petty gripe that the seat backs, handles, pouches and good construction more than make up for.
