I purchased a Hurricane Phoenix 120 a few years ago and absolutely love it! As a female at 5'4" the seat length and height are perfect for my stature. My sister bought the 130 and its seat length/height are def. made for a taller/leggier person. The width is very roomy and I feel very secure in it but it's not so wide that it interferes with my stroke.

My 120 is quite a bit lighter than the 130 (seems much shorter too) so porting it is much easier. Tracking is great but of course - it's much better in the longer boat. This is my first kayak and I have no plans of purchasing another. This is the perfect kayak in my eyes. For transporting I also purchased a Yakima Rack n Roll trailer and have it set up for the two sit on tops and one reg kayak. Life is great!

For a short girl w/a bad back- this kayak is perfect!Light weight, easy to get in and out of, great handling on the water, and the seat molding is so comfortable on the legs (w/the added seat). We have a 140 also which is greater for the taller guys in the group but the molding that presses under the thighs is not great for me. Buy one now!!!
