Correct SUP Paddle Grip

Hi. I am Dave Kalama from Imagine Paddle Surf and I want to give you a helpful hand.

One mistake I see people make quite commonly is they do the GI Joe Kung fu grip on the shaft right here. And what that does is it compromises your reach and creates a lot of tension in your wrist and your forearm which is never good.

So what you want to do, relax your grip and just curl your fingers. Just enough so that the paddle doesn't slip out of your grasp. And that way your forearm, your wrist stay relaxed. You get extended reach and it just makes paddling a lot easier.
