I have been paddling for some time on personal trips and as an instructor, and find Viking products as close to flawless as any outdoor gear can be. The balence, durability, and value are unsurpassed in the realm of paddles, if not in the rest of boating. If you're tired of over-priced and over-hyped equipment, do yourself a favor and find a Viking paddle.
