The Tsunami X-2 Is A Washdeck Double Kayak, 20' Long, 28.5" Wide, Equipped With Seatbelts And Rudder Controllable From Either Cockpit. It Is Designed For Extreme Sea Kayaking (Surfing, Rock Gardens, Tide Rips, Open Coastal Touring). Like All Tsunami Kayaks, It Is Ruggedly Built: Although Made Of Kevlar, It Weighs In At 90 Pounds Due To The Extra Heavy Layup. It Can Be Paddled As A Single From Either Cockpit, Though Surfing Should Probably Always Be Done In The Rear Cockpit To Prevent Premature Broaching. Very Stable...I Can Actually Take Photos In The Surf Zone. Excellent Rescue Craft If Paddled As A Single...You Can Get The Victim Out Of The Water Immediately. Four Hatches (Neoprene Seals With Hard Kevlar Covers) Provide Lots Of Storage Room. This Kayak, Due To Its Length, Has A High Hull Speed, And Even Used As A Single, I Can Stay Ahead Of Most Everyone Else (You Must Be Willing To Put In Extra Work To Do This, But At Least You Don't Hit That "Wall" Of Hull Speed). Workmanship, As With All Tsunami Kayaks (I Also Own Two X-15's), Is First Class.
