Bought this kayak as an ex…

Bought this kayak as an ex demo model about 5 years ago, I,m about 6'1"and around 250lbs, fancied a composite boat and it was fairly cheap and importantly designed for the bigger paddler, being an ex rugby front row player most sea kayaks at the time appear to be designed for slim legged paddlers!

Very comfortable kayak, which I still use for open crossings and overnight trips! Recently took the kayak for a multi day expedition around the West Coast of Scotland around some island's and fully laden it still paddles well! Rock solid in most conditions I've used including tide race's, surf and standing waves!

The only downside I'd say is the build quality is not as good as my mate's P&H composite boat, but it's lighter and a lot cheaper to purchase, I've had to repair it quite a few times including a new nose on the bow due to over enthusiastic rock hoping which it's not really designed for! Bought a P&H HV Virgo for most of my day to day paddling, to keep the Tahe Reval for trip's away from shore and rocks!!
