I chose to buy this because I am new to paddling and I wanted a stable kayak with minimal possibility of capsize, especially entering and exiting (aged 63 and not as nimble as when in my youth!). I have attached a strap line towards the bow and am able to easily stand up when alighting to a high bank. It is very stable and even though I'm over 100kg (220lbs) I can stand with my weight on one foot on one side without a capsize. So its stability has given me the confidence I'm not going for an unscheduled swim! Although a fishing kayak, I am currently not planning to use it for that. I have used it on a number of rivers and love the connection with nature it gives me. The only disadvantage is the weight and I do find it heavy to move around (at 29kg) but I've constructed a frame with rollers from plastic waste pipe and manage to car top it single handed. I'm delighted I bought it and plan to try using a kayak sail next!
