The NRS Riken Seminole II is…

Submitted by: paddler754495 on 4/7/2020
The NRS Riken Seminole II is a fantastic boat! Its wide flat bottom hugs the rough water surface and it tracks incredibly well especially when fully loaded. Simply put, The NRS Riken Seminole II (Hypalon) has exceeded all our expectations for, maneuverability, stability, functionality, tracking and smooth predictability in how it paddles in rough water. We purchased these boats primarily for multi-day trips on the San Juan loaded with gear, but we also love using them empty for day paddling down the Arkansas on sunny days. We don’t use the thwarts but instead installed the “Tall Back Kayak Seat” from Sea eagle and paddle them solo. This seat makes a HUGE difference in comfort on your back if you paddle a lot fully loaded with gear. We paddled a bunch of inflatable kayaks (Hyside Paddlac, Sea Eagle Paddleski, Aire/ Tributary Tomcat & Lynx, NRS MaverIK II, Soar Canyon 14, sotar) before we chose the NRS Riken Seminole II’s. We bought them sight unseen and we could’nt be happier 5 years later, best boats we’ve ever bought. Its length of 10’-10” is deceivingly larger in space than its length would suggest, yet they are super maneuverable. They are nicely out fitted with four 2” D-ring patches, on both end inside and outside. We HIGHLY recommend these boats! and NRS still makes them to order as of 4/2020.
