This is a stunning looking paddle. Beautiful design and sleek in the water. The balance and weight ( or lack of) is amazing.

This paddle performs perfectly! It slices noiselessly through the water and generates an unexpected high pressure!

I was recently introduced to the Greenland paddle way of life. My first experience was with a borrowed older generation Gearlab paddle, so the bar was already set pretty high. I fell in love with GPs right away. For Christmas, I was treated with the Cadillac of GPs...the Kalleq. Wow! This paddle cuts into the water so smoothly! I couldn't be happier.

I've been using it for the past two months (October and November) in wildly variable conditions on Lake Erie. I find it to be rock-solid and very refined- and far lighter than any wooden Greenland paddle. You can vary your paddling resistance by simply dipping shallower, and you can pull with massive force by going deeper and varying your angle. You can reverse instantly. I will never go back to a European paddle again! The replaceable tips are a MAJOR, plus, too. I cannot recommend it enough!

When I assembled the new item I found it had squeaky noises at the joint, like a cracked bamboo pole sound when there was any movement. I contacted Gearlab and was provided a replacement after sending a video of the problem. Tried paddling at sea recently and because of the wider tip, there’s more power per stroke which has to be managed to prevent rapid fatigue. The shoulderless Shaft is good and prevents fatigue at the base of the thumbs over long distances.

I received my Kalleq 220 paddle two months ago, went in with a group and we ordered how paddles through North Pender Island paddle shop, this is by far the best paddle I ever owned. it is a dream to paddle with, I can not believe the pull that I get, its great for all my moves and lots of buoyancy I would recommend the Kalleq to all.
