Solar 410C

SOLAR 410 is a amazing recreational, do it all kayak. Inflate in 7-8 minutes with a k-pump, it is very well made and robust. I live in apartment so having a 4 meters kayak that it's foldable in such a small size is incredible. It is very comfortable, you can even lie-down in the kayak when you are tire.

I could carry my kayak by bus and subway to paddle on the shore of the island of montreal. Track very well and its kind of fast. Do not cut the wave like a hardshell but it's going straight. I test this kayak in calm water where located sit inside kayak are rent for comparison. I have no problem to keep up with 2 recreational sit inside kayaks that was about 11-12 feet. Of course a longer kayak (about 15 feet) was much faster then me.

I tried on a river (camping trip) and it slide really well with the current. Some people with their rant sit-on-top and canoe was moking me when i was inflate it but their where amaze when i pass next to them and overcome them easily. It glide so much with the current than my friend with a 12 feet sit inside kayak have trouble keep with me. Against the current trought, he have a edge i little bit.

The only water that comes in my boat from my trips was the water from my paddle strokes. So unless you go in sea (it is not suit for it anyway) you wont have problem with the open style. It can be paddle by 2 person but i have no test it wet.

I highly recommend this kayak if you want to have fun, paddle in all kind of situation, easy river, lake, shore, etc... I buy it from Europe, because INNOVA (US gumotex) don't have this model. They have the SUNNY that is similar but it cost more.
