Wide, stable and easy, it will get you out on the water and feeling comfortable faster than any other board. The Ultimate do anything board - lakes, rivers, oceans - the Surfer is at home in all waters. Made from blow molded polyethylene, this is one tough and durable board. Lend it to a friend or let the kids and their friends have free reign without worrying about each scratch and ding. Family friendly, easy to paddle and priced right. Comes with comfy full deck EVA pad, lockable pass through front handle, side and tail handles, front bungee, Snap-In 9' fin. And I love it Pros It perfect at surfing and is stable and I love to fish on it and if it were warm all the time I'd be on it all the time Cons It's not very good at racing Usage Surf And fish

This is one of my favorite…

This is one of my favorite boards. I'm a pretty experienced paddler and have done some pretty long distances, but whenever I need a board to muck around in, paddle with a kid, or teach someone, I always come back to this board. Like other people have said, it's slow and heavy, but it's very easy to paddle and solid. In the surf it doesn't take small waves well because of its weight and slow speed. Pros This board is indestructible. Seriously. The high flotation means it's very easy to paddle and can take a lot of weight for its size. I once had to take this board through the most chaotic section of the Hudson River with a kid on board, and we came through fine. The bungie in the front is great for stowing water or a bag. The side handles make it easier to carry or to attach leashes for young passengers. Cons It's slow and heavy. No getting around that. Usage I use it for exercise, short touring, rocky areas, and just mucking around. Take the fin off and it can be a big sled.

Great rec board! Highly recommended for a beginner, or in high surf areas. Takes waves like a champ. I have never fallen off it or had any problems. The ONLY con I have with this board is it is very heavy! Probably 45 pounds. It has a wheel that you can use to cart it around, the problem is they don't sell the wheel anymore! Pros Stable Cons Heavy Usage Recreational

We rented this board to try out since we were novices in the paddle board world and were amazed at its handling and durability. We were looking for something that would withstand abuse as far as use on the river as well as the lake. It fit the bill! We went and bought one soon after! Only negative is that it is heavy, but it stays at lake so who cares. Pros Durability, wide padded top, not slippery Cons Heavy Usage Lake and river use, recreation

Great first time board - I was standing up while on flat water in minutes, and felt stable while paddling or standing still. Even with mild wind and waves, I found it easy to steer. Pros Excellent balance, it's very wide Cons Usage Flatwater, ocean

The Surfer is a good board…

The Surfer is a good board for the recreational paddler. This board has been around for awhile, so it has staying power. It's heavy, short and slow. But it's stable and you can't beat the price. I would buy this as a second board to teach others on or to let friends ride. There are some who use it for whitewater. I never have, but I would imagine it would take a beating. There are only a couple decent boards in this price range, I think the Surfer is one of them. Pros Durable, beginner board Cons Heavy, slow. Might out grow it quickly. Usage 2nd board, general cruising

Love the board, great for beginners! Good family board too (including the dog)!! Pros Very stable board regardless of everyone's height and weight. Also because of harbor regulations, tie down in front, holds life vest. Cons Weighs about 50 lbs. Also, a little on the slow side. Usage 5 days a week in the harbor for exercise and touring.
