5 * Board. "The Important Piece". However, Heavy Metal Paddle & Useless Fin. I paired both my 11,6 with FCS2 easy pull out dolphin fins and Carbon Light paddles. Now were getting somewhere quickly.. It's light enough and durable. My Wife and I are pleased with the float, agility, gear storage, stability and overall use. I can easily take my 65 pound lab on the front and I'm over 210 Pounds :) So it can take a load and still float and paddle quickly! Float = Exactly what I need. Open ocean or lake, no problem. Not a racer but stable. We even crossed a major ocean shipping lane and survived. Owned 2X for 4 years :) Vancouver, Can

10'6 honeycomb SUP

Submitted by: Jeffree-Buzon on 7/10/2017

I'm an avid kayaker, and decided to try SUP, after extensive research I decided to go with 10'6 honeycomb. Couldn't be more happier, myself at 165lbs, and the misses at 130lbs it tracked with great ease with the both of us on it. I had my kids try it from 15 yrs old to 12 yrs and the all loved it and had so much fun. At first they were all scared to get on but after a few minutes of practice, they didn't want to get off. I'm really considering purchasing another. Thanks to David in St. Augustine Fl. PADDLE SPORTS, great customer service, and representative for the Great Lakes product. I'm sure to return.

Mediocre at Best

Submitted by: Kyle-Todd on 6/20/2017

The experience with great lakes paddle company was challenging. Between working with a company that has inventory shortages to scheduling a drop-off time with drivers (who frequently rescheduled) I would say the customer service is lacking.
The boards are decent, although not exceptional. I'll probably just skip the hassel next time and go to REI..

I bought both sizes of this board a week ago. My family used them on Lake Michigan for a week vacation. Absolutely a blast. From flat water to 3-4 foot rollers both boards were fantastic. Pros They handle great. They are so light my ten year old son can carry them. We are an athletic family but have had no experience with paddle boarding and there were no issues standing up. Watching my ten year old use it to surf on the bigger wave days was priceless. Cons Usage

We live near the beach in FL and have lots of company, My grandson is a beginner and this board has worked for him and his friends, we have 2. I hope to bring it to V in Sept where we back to a river tributary and use it there myself. I am 66 years old and appreciate that it is light enough for me to carry. Pros size, weight and price Cons Another fin or 2 might be good for steering less calm waters Usage For fun and simple exercise

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 6/11/2016
Love the look and the weight. of it, I am a 66 year old woman , who loves the outdoors. I am not remarkably strong and I can lift and carry it short distances. It can hold my weight but also my growing grandson who is 16 and getting bigger every day, I bought 2 so multiple family members can be on the water together. Pros Size and weight, the price a good value. Cons It has one rudder and to be more versatile for less calm water, and turning I have been told by experienced boarders that multiple rudders would probably be better. Usage I am the ultimate beginner. It is for fun and to enjoy nature and being with family outdoors

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 5/11/2016
I LOVE it!!!!! I live on Okauchee Lake and my favorite time to go out is first thing in the morning. Just me and my lab. It is our personal escape. The board is ideal on the calm morning water or when an occasional wake boarder goes by. It is stable and light to carry. My neighbor has been eyeing it up and wants to try it out. I know when he does he will be hooked. I rented other boards before buying but choose the right board to take home. My friend has a go pro that I am going to borrow and attach it to my board. WHAT FUN! Doesn't get any better than this. Life is good! Pros Stable and easy to carry Cons I had to attach my own crisis cross bungee cord in front to hold down my gear Usage Pleasure/recreational but am going to try yoga on it this summer

Submitted by: supadam on 6/8/2015
I bought this great all-round board in 11'6"… The verdict - Wide, very stable and easily glides/manoevres in flat water/open ocean. Durable Epoxy board and mounting for GoPro. Lightweight, selection of colors and very competitively priced to similar products. (I got a great deal with adjustable racing paddle from a local Florida distributor.) Very happy with my third board purchase. Good for beginner to advanced paddlers. Pros Lightweight. Stable. Durable. Cons None yet. Usage So far, cruising/touring backwater and open ocean.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 4/27/2015
Last week I received a 10'8 Honeycomb Stand Up Paddleboard by Great Lakes Paddleboards for cruising in the small waves here in Naples, Florida. I absolutely love everything about it! A new paddler with 12 months experience, I enjoy exploring the backwater and ocean, as well as practicing SUPyoga. At 126lb and 35 years old, the board is awesome for my size and weight turning and gliding very easily with the single fin through the water. Pros - Wide and super stable - A great board all round :: well made, top design and graphics and definitely the best board I have ever used - Comes with adjustable paddle and GoPro camera mount at nose of board - Great value for a quality product Cons None Usage Cruising the Gulf, SUP Yoga
