I learned canoeing in Boy Scouts at summer camp in the late 50's and it was in a 17' aluminum Grumman. To this day I fish and canoe in a 17' Grumman and now I do it with my great grandson.

I learned canoeing in Boy Scouts at summer camp in the late 50's and it was in a 17' aluminum Grumman. I have spent a lifetime paddling in a Grumman with my wife, children, grand children and with my great grandson until last year when my canoe was stolen. My great grandson is 13 and I hope to be able to replace my Grumman so that I can continue enjoying paddling with him.

Mine dates back to 1959 and I used it daily, like an old friend. Today the canoe still looks new and through the years it provided me, my friends growing up and our family hundreds of hours of pleasure. Note, the quality of the canoe is first rate and after all these years is still as useable as when it was new. This canoe is being passed on to my kids an grand children in hopes they will enjoy it as much as I did. You cannot go wrong with a Grumman!

I grew up with this canoe. It has been to the Grand Tetons, many rivers, even more lakes of all sizes. It’s been wrapped in half and welded back straight. It cuts a beautiful line in the water, turns sharp and been in 3-4’ waves. You can jump out of it and get back in by yourself. Ours was the shallow water canoe and can operate in 4” of water. Super easy to land, launch, and swamp in the middle of a lake. It became an old friend and I’m going to own it again. (Brother stole it). To me what a canoe should be. Not bad flyboys. Thank you!
