The Chuckanut 15 is that neither fish nor fowl category of 'decked canoe' used in the 19th century. Useful as either a single or double, the cockpit is 8 feet in length. Skin-on-frame construction makes for VERY low weight. The skin is much tougher than anyone not familiar with skin-on-frame boats will believe.
Construction is fast and inexpensive, and the skill levels and precision demands are low. Boat handles well. Designer is conservative on capacity rating, unlike the unrealistic numbers put by manufacturers on capacity plates.
