I was anxious to try stand up paddling as I had heard great things. After taking a lesson I rented the BIC Touring board for a week. It was very easy to learn on and I was able to lift it up onto my SUV roof racks on my own. This board is lightweight, easy to use for beginners and lots of fun. It was very easy to balance and manoeuvre even in a quick flowing river. My friend was able to sit on it while I paddled, it held both of our weights without any problems.
Pros
lightweight
easy to manoeuvre
holds lots of weight
steady in quick water
Cons
Usage

This past week in Port St Joe I had my first experience with a SUP...I had heard that they were hard to balance but no way...I loved it....As we paddled across the water I was amazed at the different view and how much I was able to see in sealife that I couldnot see in my kayak....I can't wait to get my own SUP and really go exploring....
Pros
Easy to balance, cut through the water with ease, lite weight
Cons
I had to add the fin.......not too big of a deal
Usage
Touring and exercise

I raced with this board in Puerto Rico in December. I like the board as it was very stable. The conditions were horrible, but the board handled it well. I am not a pro in racing, but I would recommend this board for beginners.

Very nice piece of gear! Fast, stable, portable, economical, and good looking.
Pros
Cuts through waves and wakes like the proverbial hot knife through butter. Significantly faster than my Bic Jungle...
Cons
It's a little harder to turn than my other boards, but it is nimble enough. And,while it doesn't show dirt badly, it is white. After about 20 hours of paddling, I am developing a few mud stains in the foot area.
Usage
I use this board for lake paddling, primarily for exercise.
