I bought the Angler just to fish out of because of its stability. It turns out to be a decent Class 1 creek boat. I installed a center seat, and even with the wide beam it quite easy to operate. It is also a decent poling boat with very good stability for standing. A little fore-aft movement changes the handling considerably when snubbing, and you can step out of it if needed without rolling on its side.

Have not yet used this canoe tandem, have used solo (paddling backwards from bow seat) performs quite well from this position. initial and secondary stability are excellent. Handles wind very well also, all in all an excellent example of David Yost design.
