Very nice workmanship with solid fit/finish. The carbon shaft is well done and clean. Bend shaft is well executed and spaced properly. Shaft shape is very nice and comfortable for all day paddles. The blade design provides plenty of power without causing fatigue or pain. In not using a Greenland paddle I generally reach for the T-4.

This seems overall a very good paddle – the design, the feel, the easy adjustability, the bent-shaft, the sturdiness, etc. My main dislike is that the blades continue so far inward toward the shaft that it forces the drip rings in too far toward the boat (about 57 cm from the blade tip to the drip ring's furthest-out location, versus for example, the AquaBound Sting Ray which can locate the drip rings out within 45 cm from the blade tip; this ~5-inch difference on each side equates to about a 10-inch difference relative to your boat beam). Therefore you can get significant water drip onto you or into the boat, depending on how you paddle. You may want a spray skirt, or have to use a very low paddling angle with little body torso rotation, or otherwise I estimate you may need as narrow as roughly a 22-inch beam (or a very tight cockpit) to avoid dripping into the boat. One other limit is that its adjustability is only 5 cm, from 226 to 231 cm, which does not seem like a lot. (My Bending Branches paddle can be adjusted a range of 15 cm.)

I found this paddle while searching for a paddle to go with my first kayak (a wonderful ClearWater Design Georgian Bay). I had been directed to Werner paddles by several of the kayak dealers in the area and was planning to order a couple of Werner Camino fiberglass paddles for myself and my wife when I found them on sale for 25% off of the original price. This made them $100 less than the Werner paddles we were looking at and they were rated higher by users than the Werners, so we went with them. I am very glad we did.

After just one day on the water, it is evident that we got a great deal. First off, they are visually beautiful with a black fiber weave that makes them look like the carbon fiber paddles all your rich friends are using at less than half the price. Secondly, they feel great. The bent handles make the paddle move naturally through the water. After several hours, my hands felt fine, which was not what I had expected after a rented bent paddle gave my blisters after just 30 minutes. Third, the price was very reasonable, especially for such a good paddle. Fourth, it still has all the standard features such as adjustable feathering which is important as I like my paddle feathered, but my wife does not.

In my opinion, it is a great alternative to the more costly Werners which I have noticed seem to present a variety of problems.
