James Dawson - Trial Island Ecological Reserve Victoria, BC, Canada
Mid February paddle out to Trial Island with a local group of friends. Playing amongst some tide and current as the Enterprise Channel kicks up. We came across approximately 150 Seals and Sea Lions that were hiding amongst the cliffs patiently awaiting the spring herring spawn. Away from a pod of Orcas, we had just missed. Located just off the coastline of the beautiful capital city of British Columbia, Victoria.
