Description
The Nordkapp Forti set the standard for modern sea kayaking back in 1975. This is the 40th anniversary edition. It is 17'10' in length, 21" wide, 55lbs, aramid fiber build, skeg, with 4 hatches. This is a true expedition kayak, not a rec boat. I do not recommend it for beginners. I bought it new while planning a long expedition, but an unexpected health condition overturned that plan; there is no going back. The boat is in better than new condition. The only modification I have made is to move the seat 1" back to accommodate my leg length in an ocean cockpit. There are no hull scratches or imperfections or damage of any sort. This boat retails at about $4000. I will consider rational offers (but $2500 is a darn good price!).
