This has to be one of the most interesting attempts to create the ultimate solo freestyle paddle. I can't remember who made them but Ned Sharples and I picked up a bunch in Florida in the early 80's. It's a beautiful piece of work and a lot of fun in the water. Ned (who was a long armed, very strong paddler) snapped his in two one night on Pickerel lake near Ann Arbor. I can still hear his scream. I've used this one a bit but it shows no wear and has been a joy in the water.
The Lutra comes with a Deluxe Padded paddle case.
