I am a middling K1 paddler and when I moved to WA I ordered this kayak from New Zealand. At the time it was the best all round long distance racing kayak on the market. I never paddled it. I found the cockpit too tight for me and thought when I lost weight I would reapproach it! Well its 18 years on and for all that time it has been in my garage under cover and I have gained another 20lb. It was ordered in custom colors red/yellow and had been in the water only one time.
It has an external rudder with foot pedals and a self-bailer along with an adjustable seat. It is absolutely pristine with not a single mark or scratch on top or bottom.
