The Vermont is stable, dry and nearly indestructable. It tracks reasonably well and is faster than I expected. The best part is that it doesn't handle like a wash-tub under windy conditions like other flat water canoes. It is stable enough to stand in while fly casting and can withstand use by teenagers. My two teenage boys have had this boat in constant motion for eight straight weekends and all the parts are still intact. No other product on the planet has been that durable. I have to give it high marks for a flat water, family canoe.
