Conococheague- Wilson Bridge (Clear Spring MD) to Kemps Mill (Williamsport MD)

A self-supported trip created by paddler377127

Trip Overview

3.5 hour trip downstream- fairly shallow at the beginning but after that no real shallow spots, about 4-8 feet throughout. Get in on the park side of the bridge would be my recommendation because the road on the other side is ok, but narrow gravel and easy to slip on the hill.... the get out at Kemps Mill is immediately before the dam there so you'll want to make sure you get off in time. the damn is small but I wouldn't want to go over it by accident. there is a parking area immediately before the dam and you'll get out of the water immediately before the parking area. I also get in at Kemps Mill pretty regularly for just short trips, go upstream to the KOA or further and then float back, takes an hour to an hour and a half.
