Trip Overview

Paddled the Willow River from the 140th Ave Bridge to the Cty Rd A bridge.

Unlike previous posts, there were NO blow-downs or obstructions, just nice water and some modest ripples. Water was up from recent rains, only took 1-1/2 hours and no portages. The section between Cty E and Cty A has larger rapids and rocks.

Accommodations:

No facilities on river.

Take-out is at Willow River State Park, camping available.

From Twin Cities, take I-94 East to Exit 4 in Wisconsin; stay north on Cty Hwy A, left on 140th Ave in the hamlet of Boardman.
