-395 CFS at Hebron---US 37 to US 40---6.25 miles plus .75 miles paddling back to US 40. 4 hours ----NOT RUNNABLE Flow rate was great. Had 4 portages in this stretch. The first two were very difficult portages, the final was near impossible due to the size of the jam. ¾ mile downstream of US 40 is a sizable blockage and jam with the river rerouting to the left. Near impossible to portage. Two narrow fast moving chutes to the left that possibly could be navigated, especially the upstream chute. However it was impossible to see if there were further jams/strainers around the next corners. Opted to be smart and not take a chance on unscoutable faster water. Paddled back up to US 40 which thankfully was an easier return than dragging/carrying the boats.
Portage Notes
First two portages very difficult due to steep slick muddy banks and deep water. Had to to drag/carry through fields to get back into the water. 4th portage near impossible due to terrain and extensive blockages.
