Trip Overview

We just started canoeing and decided to start with this local location. We started in Lincoln Park, right by the Wayne border. There is a free boat launch with parking.

We went north 2 miles before heading back to our start. The river is calm and wide. There were no issues with any obstructions. It was a little shallow about 3/4 from our starting location, but nothing to be concerned about.

We also did a little fishing and caught some large mouth bass. We saw lots of carp in the water just before we turned around.

It was a nice way to spend a Saturday.
