Launched at Miner's Beach at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior. Paddled 15 miles round trip along the amazing multicolored cliffs, caves and arches. Perfect day with light breeze at times. Clouds in the morning then cleared in the afternoon. Awesome paddle, saw a peregrine falcon on a little beach deep in a grotto and another one on a nearby nest. Rescued a tiny baby gull that had fallen from a nest on the cliff into the water. Set it on a beach under the cliffs. Met a nice guide leading a large group at the landing. They helped us get our kayak back up the steps at the launch.
Conditions
You have to carry your drag/kayak up and down a steep set of stairs/ramp from the parking area to launch on the beach
