Trip Overview
We hadn't done this trip in years, probably since 2005 or so. It was always one of our favorites, due to the wilderness, flat and narrow river, and good fall foliage. It ends with paddling a bit of the Taunton River. Returning, we were not disappointed. We could easily get under the 3 road crossings without getting out. We went down river. We put in on Rt 44 at Oliver Mill Park in Middleboro, and took out on Titicut St, at the Middleboro/Bridgwater line. There was room to park a car on the side of the road north of the bridge on Titicut St. We took out on the south side of the river before the bridge. There is a rapid below. The TauntonRiver gauge ( https://waterdata.usgs.gov/mon... ) 4.0' on this day, which was perfect to get under bridges.
