  • Explore under the bridge, fish Bear Den Cove, go around Bird Dung Island. All in a days paddle,
  • Bring a lunch pack, water, and your life jackets and fishing poles. There is places to park your kayak on the shoreline to eat, get out and stretch, or just enjoy the wildlife.
  • Take the least path of resistance and let the breeze carry you away. There is bluffs, island, shoreline, fishing.
  • Putting in the Cape Fair Marina you can travel either way.
  • Please be careful and safe when crossing from one side of the lake to the other. We have lots of fast fishing boater, large pontoons in these travel route, they don’t always see you crossing over to the island or the other side of the shoreline. Know your kayak paddle signs to let them know you see them and make them aware they see you.
  • Enjoy the wake waves, we call them lake rapids. Sometime they are so big they come over your kayak. Lol
  • Enjoy your kayaking. You can watch the fish jump, the eagles, cranes, buzzards fly, the deer comes for water. Maybe a muskrat or two with their babies. You might even catch a fish… It’s s peaceful out here.
